Blending Cultures

MAABAE is a celebration of cultural diversity & dual-heritage.

Indian and Western wardrobes have never truly coexisted. They’ve lived in separate cupboards and have never really spoken to one another.

MAABAE’s mission is to bridge the gap between East & Western fashion, by creating Indian-inspired jewelry that can be intentionally styled with western clothes empowering us to embrace both cultures, as one.

Our pieces are thoughtfully handcrafted in the heart of Rajasthan & brought to life in Los Angeles.

Inspired by MAA

Growing up as the daughter of an Indian fashion designer, founder Tanya was immersed in South-Asian fashion and is heavily inspired by her mother's creative sense of design and style.

And so inspires the name MAABAE, which comes from a play on two Gujarati / Hindi words: 'MAA' meaning Mother and 'BAE' comes from 'Beti' meaning daughter.

Pushing the Boundaries

We believe in being different, thinking differently, taking risks and being unafraid.

Designed by Tanya, we have created some unique pieces that have never been done before. We want to take heritage styles and turn them into something different, just like our jhumki hair piece and our kundan body chain.

Creativity is at the heart of MAABAE, so we'll continue to design and craft unique pieces that keep pushing the boundaries.
